My name is Yuri Miyoshi, I am a Japanese calligraphy artist from Atlanta GA in the United States. I was born and raised in Tokyo Japan and moved to Atlanta in 2009.

I started to learn Japanese Calligraphy at the age of 6 and achieved Shihan (Master of Japanese Calligraphy) at the age of 18. I have now more than 30 years of experience in this art.

In Japan, when parents pick Kanji for their baby’s name, they really look into meaning of each Kanji and decide! Kanji is really important.
